Book Of Mormon
Summary: The Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ on this continent. It has the different teachings from other prophets and is a sacred record of peoples in the Americas. It is also used as a companion to the Bible.
Signifcance: The Significance of this book is that it converted thousands to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is document is also a main reason why the members of this church was persecuted. Due to the persecution recieved resulted in them moving to Utah and what is now the Salt Lake Valley.

Trail of Tears
Summary: In 1838 and 1839, as part of Andrew Jackson's Indian removal policy, the Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma. The Cherokee people called this journey the "Trail of Tears," because of its devastating effects. The migrants faced hunger, disease, and exhaustion on the forced march. Over 4,000 out of 15,000 of the Cherokees died.
Significance: The Indian Removal Act reflected on the unconstitutional powers of the President and Congress to Supreme Court orders. This created a lasting separation of the whites to the Native Americans exists in our nation today. The unconstitutional powers behind this Act led to the cultural and spiritual destruction of an entire Native American population by the United states government. This event in history was a one of the biggest mistakes ever to come forward by the United States government.

The Underground Railroad
Summary: Politics and geography were major components in the the slave trade and the Underground Railroad. Many slaves traveled along this invisible road to the Northern free states and Canada with the help of former slaves or sympathizers.
Significance: The Underground Railroad was significant because it offered a safe haven for runaway slaves. In the bigger picture, the Railroad paved the way to public resentment to slavery and eventually the Abolition movement.
