A Date Which Will Live in Infamy
http://historymatters.gmu.edu/d/5166/
"A date which will live in infamy" is the famous quote Roosevelt says in his speech to congress after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. This speech is significant because this is where Roosevelt officially proposes war. This is significant because we officially enter the war. This displays that the nation is not weak and will fight back when necessary. the propostion for war fell one vote short of unanimity. December 11 we declared war officially when Germany and Italy declared war.

Marshall Plan
http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/featured_documents/marshall_plan/
Secretary of State George Marshall proposed a massive economic aid program to rebuild the war-torn economies of European nations. The plan was motivated both by humanitarian concern for the conditions of those nations' economies and by fear that their economic dislocation would promote the spread of communism in Europe. The Marshall Plan provided for a breakthrough in trade with American firms, and fueling a postwar economic boom in the United States. Although America's stance was to be pure isolationists, America attempted to establish world peace and aid others from being affected by the Communist spread. This plan therefore foreshadows George Kennan's containment plan on Russia.

The Cold War
This one is fairly self explanatory. It shows Kennedy and Gorbachev arm wrestling whilst sitting on atomic weapons. This exemplified fear of nuclear war during this era. Further more, you can see Kennedy ready to press the button for the missile under Gorbachev, this demonstrates the fear raging on inside people as to which side would set off the first missile.
